In the spring, we made a pink corduroy version of the S40's.
The manufacturer wanted to make it again in some other color, and that's why they chose gold. We thought it would be nice to express the yellow lining of the cowboy jacket as GOLDEN in 2023, so we used it again this time. Of course, it's 100% cotton corduroy, so it's not shiny, but we took the color from that vintage and released it as Golden Corduroy.
The original source of this jacket is the third type, but it was released as a war model to make it easier to coordinate.
Even though it's corduroy, it has a T-back specification from 40 inches, and following the vintage, it is made of 85% cotton and 15% polyester corduroy fabric with 14 wales.
The dyeing is reactive dyeing, and it changes slowly over time at the same speed as denim, and as a result, the puckering of the seams and other things are whitening.
The details of the war are the same as those of the S40's. The vintage item owned by TCB is a rare item with the pleats at different heights.
From the perspective of the manufacturer, it seems that the place where the pleats were to be sewn was marked, and the person who sewed the left side sewed upwards from the mark, and the person who sewed the right side sewed downwards. Regardless of whether this is true or not, it also means that the item was not rejected during inspection.
I feel that the background of the time, such as the request from the Material Control Bureau/Price Control Bureau to comply with new standards and the change in personnel situation during wartime, is reflected in these parts.
In terms of size, the size is almost the same as a regular denim S40's Jacket, but the sleeve length and length have been shortened by about 1 cm, so the silhouette has been slightly changed to a looser size and easier to wear. Basically, we recommend the same size as the S40's Jacket or 50's Jacket.
